Class Information

  • Ballet

    Ballet dance is a traditional art form that originated over 500 years ago in Italy. Though ballet dancers are trained to appear gentle and graceful in their movements, ballet technique teaches a tremendous amount of strength, balance, technical skill, and flexibility. Our dress code for ballet is a leotard, tights, ballet shoes and a bun.

  • Jazz

    Jazz combines classical ballet with modern dance technique. It emphasizes energy, rhythm & style while still working on foundational elements of dance.

  • Tap

    Using metal taps on the heels and toes of dancers’ shoes to find the rhythm & beat in the music as well as in your body. This style is most famously known in the era of Fred Astaire.

  • Contemporary

    Contemporary dance is a style of interpretive dance that embraces innovation, blending techniques from various genres, including classical ballet, jazz, modern dance, and lyrical dance.

  • Musical Theatre

    Musical theatre is different to dramatic theatre in that it combines songs, spoken dialogue, and dance to tell a story. The story and emotional content of a musical – humor, love, anger – are communicated through music, movement and technical aspects of the entertainment as an integrated whole.

  • Gymnastics 1 & 2

    This class focuses on beginners gymnastics skills performed on the floor exercise. Skill focus is handstands, cartwheels, back-bends, back walkovers, and handstand forward rolls. This class is for the child who wants to build strength and coordination using spotting and self-help stations.

  • Strength & Stretch for Adults

    Our strength and stretch instructors have developed a program that allows you to achieve your fitness goals at a pace relative to your current fitness level. The aim of this class is to improve overall muscle tone, balance and flexibility

  • Ballet & Tap Combo

    This class is a ballet, tap and tumbling combination class. This fun and exciting class inspires creativity, teaches coordination, musicality, and the fundamentals of ballet, tap and tumbling. Students will develop coordination, strength, dance technique, rhythm, and body awareness in a caring, nurturing environment.

  • Hip-Hop

    Hip-hop dance is the wide world of movement and visual styles that are now forever associated with hip-hop music. It’s an approach to choreography that is consciously in tune with the music, beats, and grooves of hip-hop music without being defined or limited by some of its unique characteristics, like freestyling or the cypher.

  • Happy Hoppers

    Happy Hoppers is a dance class for 2 & 3-year-olds. In this class they will learn the foundations of movement and dance, in a fun and relaxed environment. This class also focuses on learning rhythm and musicality through games and learning techniques for littles.

  • Little Acrobats

    Little Acrobats is the perfect class for your 3-5 year old to try tumbling. In this class they will learn introductory tumbling steps & the building blocks they will need to try more advanced tumbling steps in the future. In this class they will focus on the foundations of tumbling.

  • Toddler & Me

    Toddler & Me classes are created to foster a special interaction between you and your toddler. It’s a way to spend one-on-one time with your child doing something new and enjoying the freedom of movement together. Dancing is a great way to help your toddler improve both their mental development and motor skills! Dancing helps your child develop muscle strength, stronger physical and mental reflexes, and a longer attention span. As your child learns new movements and tackles challenges in dance class, the confidence they gain will transfer to other areas of their development. Our Toddler & Me class can be the perfect way to introduce them to classroom expectations for the first time in a fun, comfortable environment.

  • TikTok Academy

    Does your dancer love TikTok? Then this class is for them :) In this fun, upbeat class, they will learn how to film dances well, how to utilize social media to find educational dance resources and of course.. they'll learn some TikTok dances!

  • Lights Camera Action

    Come learn all things Cameras and Production with professional Cinematographer and Filmmaker Troy Mairs! He will be teaching the ins and outs of running a camera, being on camera everything in between! This class is open to youth as well as adults. Have you always wanted to be able to take better pictures, be more photogenic or understand the production side of filmmaking? This opportunity is for you!

  • Performance Team

    Elysian Studios Performance Team is focused on community outreach and local performances. In this class, students will learn dances that will later be performed in festivals, parades, nursing homes etc. This group will represent Elysian Studios to the community.

  • Elysian 6:14

    Elysian 6:14 is a faith based dance ministry. The name is based on 2 Samuel 6:14 “David danced before the Lord with all his might.” Students have to 11 or older to be on this team. Elysian 6:14 entails lots of performance opportunities & travel opportunities as well.
