About the Process and the Glass Pendants

We are always very, very careful and respectful with the ashes that we infuse into each pendant. If you send us a photo or a message about your loved one, we will bring that out when it's time to make your memorial, so that we have them in mind as we make the pendant. If you would like to suggest a song/album/playlist, we will put that on at the time also. I think that getting to know your loved one a little bit through you can influence our work, and help to bring their spirit out in the finished piece. We understand that you are going through a very difficult time, and if you don't feel up to telling us about your loved one, that's fine too.

Each unique piece of wearable glass art is carefully crafted in our small Northern California studio. The glass used is borosilicate, which is much more durable than standard glass. (It's the kind of glass that is used in scientific applications.) Each piece is kiln annealed (which also makes it more durable). We have a large variety of different colors available. Please don't hesitate to ask about custom colors and designs.

About Ordering

When you order, you will get an automated confirmation email. I'll also send a personal email soon after with information on how to get a small amount of ash to us. You have two choices: Often, to make things quicker, people will choose to secure about 1/2 teaspoon of ash in a small ziplock bag and mail it directly to us, Or, if you'd prefer it,  we will mail an ash collection kit out to you.  We ask for around 1/2 teaspoon of ash for a pendant to be safe, but that is actually enough to make a few memorials. We will always be very careful with the ashes, and will return the remaining ash to you along with your pendant.

It is fairly standard for similar businesses to have a turnaround time of 4 to 6 weeks once they receive the ashes. Ours is about 1 week.
